Songpremiere Waters Run Deep live on TV & stream

Luxembourg, 25 January 2025

Conchita performs ‘Waters Run Deep’ on television for the first time today. The first single will be released on 21 March, the EP will follow before the ESC. A National Eurovision Final full of surprises in Luxembourg tonight at 20:00 on RTL and in the livestream.

‘I haven’t entered the Eurovision season this early in recent years. I’m delighted to be back in Luxembourg and to be performing my song ‘Waters Run Deep’ live on TV for the first time!’, Conchita shares her excitement about tonight.

At its core, Waters Run Deep delves into emotional vulnerability and self-discovery. With powerful imagery, the song explores the longing for authenticity and connection. But beneath this personal level lies a bold, empowering message – a call for resistance and resilience in a world that prioritises simplicity over truth. The refrain These waters run deep becomes a mantra against the shift to the right and pleads for complexity and steadfastness against fear and oppression. With impressive symbolism of flames and deep waters, the song becomes an anthem for transformation – an appeal to free oneself from constraints, to recognise one’s true self and to stand up for transparency and solidarity.

Waters Run Deep will be released as a single on 21 March and is a precursor to the EP, which will be released before the Song Contest in May.

The Luxembourg Song Contest 2025 programme starts tonight at 20:00 on RTL and will be broadcast on https://play.rtl.lu/live
