“Erstmal Pause” is Conchita Wurst’s fourth release this year and is available on all music streaming platforms as of today. The track was created in the tried and tested trio together with Lukas Klement(music, producer) and Martin Zerza(music, lyrics). The music video was created by Elisa Kroiss and is also available on Youtube today. Unlike the previous songs, this time it is a song in German.“My team and I have already been working constantly during the pandemic, and the last few weeks we’ve been on the road virtually non-stop. Now we are happy that we can take a month off in the summer so that we can start again with fresh energy in the autumn,” says Neuwirth, looking forward to August.
“You unlearn the childlike lightness of being when you’re a teenager – especially a queer teenager – because society makes you feel like you’re not right. And then you spend the rest of your life throwing off these unnecessary insecurities and shields. It’s 2022, and we’re queer not only during Pride Month! It is high time to use every shopping street, every office corridor and every classroom as a catwalk and present yourself exactly the way you want to be! The track was once again created in collaboration with Lukas Klement (music, production) and Martin Zerza (music, lyrics).
“Every moment in life is ambivalent and has several sides. The only thing I can determine for myself is whether I train my perception to see the good or surrender to the abyss,” says Neuwirth, who wrote the song together with Lukas Klement and Martin Zerza. The fast-paced pop music video has also been released, and exclusive making-of videos will gradually be published on the new video platform WURSTTV.com.
Conchita Wurst features on the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack of Austria’s movie “Der Onkel (The Hawk)” by Michael Ostrowski with a cover version of Udo Jürgens’ “Ich weiß, was ich will”.
“Every day I would love to wake up and realize that we as a global society have just dreamt a collective nightmare. I wish that all people could live in peace and freedom, regardless of the lottery of which country borders and which body they happen to be born into,” says Tom Neuwirth.

“Forward” not only stands for the artist’s inner urge for constant creative and personal development, it also encourages listeners to take responsibility and to firmly stand in for the things that are important to them. The song directs the view into a self-determined future in which no one has to ask for permission to live their life according to their own rules.
With his new song “To The Beat” he wants to encourage the listener to go through life with purpose and their heads held high, to trust their own rhythm, and achieve a maximum of personal freedom by deliberately ignoring defeatists in every way.
